Sproutfull – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Sproutfull sustainability platform and the reports generated through it.

By accessing or using the Sproutfull platform, users agree to the terms described on this page.


1. Purpose of Platform Reports

Reports generated by the Sproutfull sustainability platform are produced based on data provided by users and processed

using the methodologies, datasets, and assumptions configured within the platform at the time of calculation.


These reports are intended to support:

  • Internal sustainability monitoring

  • Decision-making and benchmarking

  • Supply chain transparency

  • Preliminary environmental footprint assessments


Unless explicitly validated and approved by an accredited Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) practitioner, reports generated by the platform do

not constitute:

  • A certified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

  • A third-party verified statement

  • A legally binding regulatory submission


2. Data Responsibility

All calculations performed within the Sproutfull platform rely on:

  • Data entered or uploaded by the user

  • Assumptions selected within the system

  • Background databases and emission factors available at the time of calculation


Sproutfull does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or correctness of user-provided data.


The reliability of results therefore depends on factors including:

  • Data quality and completeness

  • Selected system boundaries

  • Allocation methods

  • Modelling assumptions applied during calculation


The user remains fully responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the input data used within the platform.


3. Methodological Scope

Unless otherwise specified, environmental impact calculations generated by the Sproutfull platform may follow methodologies aligned with:

  • The Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) framework

  • Applicable Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) standards

  • Configured impact categories and normalization factors available in the system


Methodological elements within the platform may evolve over time due to changes in:

  • Regulatory guidance

  • PEF Category Rules (PEFCRs)

  • Emission factor databases

  • Allocation rules or modelling practices


Results contained in a report therefore reflect the methodological configuration active at the time the report was generated. Recalculation at

a later date may produce different outcomes.


4. Interpretation and Comparability

Environmental footprint results are sensitive to modelling assumptions and system definitions.


Accordingly:

  • Results may not be directly comparable with other LCA studies or environmental footprint results unless methodological parameters are aligned.

  • Differences in system boundaries, datasets, allocation rules, and modelling choices may lead to significant variations between studies.


Where results are intended for public disclosure or external communication, Sproutfull recommends interpretation by qualified sustainability professionals or LCA practitioners.


Sproutfull does not guarantee comparability between its outputs and third-party studies unless they follow the same methodological framework and configuration.


  1. Platform Availability

Sproutfull strives to maintain reliable platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform.


The platform may experience interruptions due to:

  • Maintenance activities

  • Software updates

  • Infrastructure issues

  • External service providers


Sproutfull shall not be liable for any losses or damages resulting from temporary unavailability of the platform.


  1. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability

Reports generated by the Sproutfull platform are provided on an “as generated” basis.


To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Sproutfull makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any report generated by the platform.

  • Sproutfull shall not be liable for decisions, investments, regulatory submissions, commercial claims, or other actions taken on the basis of platform outputs without independent verification.

  • Sproutfull shall not be responsible for regulatory non-compliance resulting from misuse, misinterpretation, or misrepresentation of platform results.


  1. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the Sproutfull platform, including but not limited to:

  • Software

  • Methodologies

  • Platform architecture

  • Calculations

  • Visualizations and interfaces

remain the exclusive property of Sproutfull or its licensors.


Use of the platform does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights to the user.


  1. Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

  • Use the platform for unlawful purposes

  • Misrepresent results generated by the platform

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to replicate the platform’s calculation methods

  • Use the platform to generate misleading environmental claims


Sproutfull reserves the right to suspend access to the platform if these terms are violated.


  1. Confidentiality and Use of Reports

Reports generated by the Sproutfull platform may contain sensitive operational, environmental, or supply chain information.


Users are responsible for:

  • Controlling distribution of reports

  • Providing appropriate contextual explanation when sharing results externally

  • Preventing misleading or incomplete representation of environmental performance


  1. . Recommended Best Practice

For use cases involving:

  • Public sustainability claims

  • Product marketing statements

  • Regulatory disclosure

  • Investment or financing documentation


Sproutfull recommends independent review or verification by a qualified LCA practitioner or accredited third-party verifier before results are published or used in formal statements.


  1. . Changes to These Terms

Sproutfull reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.


Updated versions will be published on this page and will apply from the date of publication.


  1. . Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of The Netherlands.


Any disputes arising from the use of the Sproutfull platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands.
